An Abba tribute band will lead the entertainment line-up for the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) annual awards for excellence 2006, known as the Archies, at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole on February 11 next year.

Platinum Abba, the tribute band that will reproduce the popular 1970s act, has been described by the London Evening Standard newspaper as "better than the original".

Last year's song and dance group Intrigue, which covers chart hits from the 1960s to today, will also perform.

"Make sure you book early," FLTA chief executive David Ellison said. "Tickets for the awards always sell out quickly.

"But, whether or not you are able to attend, we hope everyone will remember to vote. The validity of the awards and their effectiveness in encouraging improvement in standards depends on strong voter participation," he said.
