Liebherr recently handed over the 100th Liebherr mobile harbour crane, a new LHM 600, to Spanish customer Maritima del Principado in Gijon. Spain is now the third country in the world with a fleet of 100 or more Liebherr mobile harbour cranes. Coach House, the UK's largest wholesale and trade-only furniture and giftware supplier, has automated its warehouse and has upgraded its warehouse vehicles to optimise storage space and maximise its processes. Manitou has added three new propane-powered industrial forklift models. The Manitou MI 40G, MI 50G and MI 70G provide lift capacities that range from 8,000 to 15,400 lb. Sideloader specialist Baumann has unveiled its largest-ever model - the new 50 T GXS500. The model has been delivered to a fruit concentrates company, where it will be used to carry 40 ft. containers. The GXS500 sideloader also features a raised cabin, able to see over the top of containers, which tilts and angles forward to sit in front of the main deck. A UK jury has returned a conclusion of accidental death caused by a combination of mechanical failure and operator error. This follows the 2018 death of Andy Shattock, from Plymouth, who was crushed when a forklift toppled over. The inquest heard the forklift that killed the 55-year-old had faulty brakes.
