Sany has received multiple orders in Europe

Sany Europe has secured several orders for container handling equipment in the first half of 2019, with a total of 15 reachstackers and empty container handlers booked for UK customers alone.

UK-based Goldstar Transport Ltd took delivery of three 4531 reachstackers as part of the expansion of its off-dock container storage across the UK, taking its Sany fleet to six.

Sany also finalised its contract with Maritime Transport Ltd for a total of 10 machines, five reachstackers and five empty container handlers, in March 2019 which are expected to be supplied during August and September.

Maritime Transport's new terminal, which is under construction at East Midlands Gateway and due for completion in autumn 2019, will receive three reachstackers while its Tilbury facility will receive two of Sany's H9 models.

Jann Rene Hansen, sales director for Sany Europe, notes that an order for 10 units is rare and "we do not see that often here in Europe".

Elsewhere in Europe, Bergé Logistics has put three 4531 reachstackers into operation at Terminal Port Nou in Barcelona.

The machines, delivered in June 2019, are supplied under a five-year rental agreement with the option to buy.

"This is a first step for Sany into the very competitive but highly interesting market in Spain and we hope that this will open the doors for more machines in the future," says Hansen.
