Santana's Phoenix office and warehouse |
Materials handling equipment dealer Santana Equipment Trading Company is celebrating its 20th anniversary in new premises in North Chicago.
The business was founded by Eric Davidson in 1999, and run out of a townhouse in the northern suburbs of Chicago.
In 2002, Davidson moved his operations to Vernon Hills, and added five employees. Retail operations began in 2005, after the company moved to Gurnee.
A company spokesman says a major milestone was Santana's expansion into Phoenix. The company opened its first satellite office and warehouse in Phoenix, Arizona in 2012, and the site was expanded in 2016 to accommodate its rapid growth. Retail operations were also boosted when Santana became an authorised EKKO dealer.
"We are moving from Gurnee to North Chicago and we are currently running a liquidation sale at our Gurnee location to celebrate 20 years and give back to our customers," the spokesman adds.
