Snorkel officials hand over the first electronic scissor lifts to Roggermaier |
German rental company Roggermaier GmbH has taken delivery of the first of the new Snorkel electric scissor lifts in Europe.
Roggermaier placed an order for 50 of the new lifts at The Rental Show 2015 in February when they were unveiled for the first time. The first batch of 18 Snorkel S3219Es and four Snorkel S4732Es have already been deployed into its rental fleet.
Founded in 1983, Roggermaier is a family-owned enterprise which ranks among the biggest rental companies in Germany, with over 1,400 machines in its fleet. It serves a diverse range of clients, in sectors ranging from construction, energy, automotive, telecommunications, the film industry as well as municipalities and trade shows.
Snorkel delivered the first of the new scissor lifts earlier this month, and provided detailed technical training to Roggermaier's service team to ensure a smooth transition into its fleet.
Roggermaier executives note that the new lifts have many features which will benefit the rental business. "And this has been reinforced by our service engineers who are very impressed with the machines, especially the robust build and high quality components," says a spokesman. "They expect them to be very reliable in the field and commented that the innovative construction type will also offer numerous advantages in the area of service and support."
Snorkel's new family of electric scissor lifts includes four models, ranging from the S3219E which delivers 5.79 m of platform height from a 0.81 m wide chassis, to the S4732E which delivers 9.75 m of platform height from a 1.19 m wide chassis.
Designed to perform in tough environments and to handle the demands of the rental industry, these lifts are packed with innovative features that lower total ownership costs, according to the manufacturer.
