São Paulo, Brazil Reed Exhibitions is pleased to announce the launch of Transport & Logistics Brazil- the first exhibition in the Brazilian market for transport and logistics. The first event will take place between the 17th and 19th September 2013 at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo. It will be held jointly with the 28th edition of Movimat - the most important materials handling exhibition in South America- which was acquired in May by Reed Exhibitions.

A complete offering for Brazil's transport and logistics services
Transport & Logistics Services, Information Systems & Technologies, Logistics Infrastructures and Industrial Property are the four sectors featured at this new annual event which brings together 150 exhibitors in 6,000 sqm. It is aimed at the Brazilian and South American community who transport goods and are involved in all aspect of logistics services. "Holding Movimat and Transport & Logistics simultaneously allows unique access and a complete showcase of products and services dedicated to procurement, distribution and tomorrows supply chain. In all, we expect 35,000 decision-making professionals and specifiers who will be able to meet 350 suppliers of transport and logistics services across both events" comments Natalie Brizolara, Event Director for Movimat and Transport & Logistics Brazil.

Infrastructure, transport and logistics: a priority focus for government investment
The logistics sector in Brazil currently is experiencing very strong growth and an important dynamic, partly stimulated by outsourcing (+20%), reverse logistics (+20%). Last August, the Brazilian government launched a Logistics Investment Programme which aims to improve transport and logistics infrastructures. The first stage of this looks at road and rail, planning an investment of 50 billion Euros over the next 25 years.
The SITL exhibition -the European transport and logistics meeting- is a partner of Transport & Logistics Brazil, notably putting in place a programme of international promotion which will benefit both Brazilian professionals and international companies who wish to establish operations in the Brazilian market.
