Explosion-proof specialist Pyroban Group has bought two companies to expand its product portfolio and geographic coverage.

Pyroban completed the acquisition of Adex Zonex Pte Ltd in Singapore on 11 August. Adex Zonex specialises in converting flame-proof electric and diesel materials handling equipment, compressors, generator sets and radiators. The company also supplies a wide range of components like engine safety control systems and spark arrestors.

Adex Zonex also provides short and medium-term rental of flameproof forklifts to industrial markets. The company supplies to oil and gas, petrochemical and manufacturing customers in Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

"The acquisition demonstrates Pyroban's deep commitment to the Asia-Pacific market and our regional support for customers," says Pyroban Group CEO Ian Ratcliff. "The Asia-Pacific market is growing and we expect to promote and grow all activities and services offered by Pyroban Group in the area."

In a separate acquisition, Broadland Radiators and Heat Exchangers Ltd joined the Pyroban Group as a wholly owned subsidiary on 29 July. Established in 1987 and based in Norwich, Norfolk, UK, Broadland Radiators designs, manufactures and repairs radiators and heat exchangers for diesel engine applications, mainly in the petrochemical industry.

The values of both acquisitions are confidential.

West Sussex, UK-headquartered Pyroban has facilities in the UK, France, Netherlands and Singapore and two premises in China.
