Camso expands anti-static range

Camso has introduced the Solideal RES Xtreme NMAS, a new non-marking resilient forklift tyre, which addresses safety issues linked to static electricity generated in non-marking tyres.
The announcement comes about a year after the launch of the industry's first non-marking anti-static (NMAS) forklift tyre, the Solideal PON 775 NMAS by Camso. The addition of the Solideal RES Xtreme NMAS to Camso's portfolio makes it the first tyre manufacturer to offer a complete range of solid non-marking anti-static forklift tyres, now supplying both press-on and resilient solutions, the company claims.
"The Solideal PON 775 NMAS received an unprecedented welcome in the market. Customers were finally getting an extreme performance non-marking tyre that also prevents static electricity build-up," says Thierry Miche, product line executive director - material handling at Camso. "While press-on tyres are found predominantly in North America, forklifts in Europe, Oceania and Latin America mostly run on resilient tyres. As the global leader in the industry, we had to develop a resilient NMAS tyre to answer customers' needs around the world."

A-Safe launches Alarm Bar

A-Safe Inc., a manufacturer of protective guarding for warehouses, distribution centres, manufacturing facilities and other workplace environments, has launched the Alarm Bar, a tubular product that actively responds to impact to protect overhead assets from moving vehicles.
Like other products in the A-Safe range, the Alarm Bar is made from the company's patented blend of eight materials and rubber additives that practically absorbs impact without incurring damage.
Alarm Bar is easily installed, hung from two thin cables towards either end.
A series of high-profile companies have already installed Alarm Bars, including Lowes, Michelin, Ford, Tyson Foods, Boston Beer, Walmart and Nissin Foods.
Paul Barlow, CEO at A-Safe Inc., says: "The product is suited to any facility where there is a restriction on height and potential damage can be caused by impacts in the absence of a robust height warning system. The product safeguards doorframes, loading docks, infrastructure and overhead walkways, as well as key safety assets such as sprinkler systems and ventilation pipes. It can be installed where no barriers are currently in place or where an existing height restrictor is not active or, in other words, it doesn't feed back to the user beyond the physical impact."

Hiab adds crane for underground containers

Hiab is launching a new crane for the waste collection market. The HIAB S-HiPro 230W will debut at this year's ReinigingsDemoDagen (RDD) trade in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Intended for use with underground refuse containers, Hiab has engineered the HIAB S-HiPro 230W to make it easier for operators to efficiently and safely perform their work in increasingly crowded and chaotic urban centres.
"As more cities around the world turn to underground containers as an aesthetically pleasant and convenient solution for managing waste, we at Hiab have been listening to customers about the challenges of handling and emptying these containers. Working in traffic on congested streets, they need equipment that allows them to collect the waste quickly, without damaging the truck or posing a risk to operators and the surrounding area. In an industry with high employee turnover, they also need technology that offers simple and intuitive control for beginning operators," says Hans Ohlsson, director, medium range, HIAB Loader Cranes.
Compared to earlier generations, the new crane provides up to 30% greater lifting capacity in the positions that are most crucial for this specific application. At the same time, Hiab engineers have managed to reduce the dead weight of the crane by around 150 kg.
