Jungheinrich offers no battery change
Hamburg, GermanyJungheinrich is offering two-shift operations with no intermediate charging or battery changing. This is an option available for a range of its electric forklifts.
"This has become feasible today thanks to the extremely low energy consumption of our trucks," says management board member Dr Klaus-Dieter Rosenbach. "This is not just a promise - we also back up this claim." If a battery lasts less than two shifts, Jungheinrich will replace it free of charge.
According to the company, it has lowered the energy consumption of its industrial trucks by up to 38% in the last 10 years. This is due to technological advances, including the across-the-board introduction of three-phase AC technology for its battery-powered trucks and energy recovery during braking or lowering of loads.
