With the RTITB Operator of the Year Grand Final just over a month away, preparations are well under way for what promises to be the best grand final to date.

For the competitors it's been a long road to the final, beginning in November with an online multiple choice quiz, stopping off at the NEC for the heats, held at IMHX 2013, and culminating this September at RTITB headquarters for a spectacular grand final featuring a range of devilish challenges, guaranteed to test the limits of each operator's skill and ability.

With doors opening at 10am and competition testing taking place until 3pm, the Grand Final is sure to be an eventful and busy day. As well as watching the 10 finalists compete for the title, guests can also take part in a number of activities and events happening around the venue, including visiting the lift truck experience - where you can test drive an LPG powered Toyota counterbalance lift truck - or, if operating a full size lift truck doesn't sound appealing then there is also the chance to enter our radio controlled lift truck competition and win prizes. For a break from the lift truck action, guests will be able to enjoy a hypnosis show, as well as a warm buffet lunch. And while you're visiting Access House, why not catch up with members of the RTITB team or connect with other industry professionals?

At the end of the competition, a lavish invitation-only gala dinner, attended by some of the most prominent names in logistics and transport, as well as representatives from the HSE and the transport industry press will form the backdrop for the awards ceremony. Special guest speaker Jane Willis, leader of the HSE's Cross-cutting Interventions Directorate will announce this year's winner and runners up and present them with their prizes, including a brand new Toyota car for the champion.
