Gough Materials Handling has recently delivered two new Hyster forklifts to Port Nelson.

The full container handler is rated at 40 T capacity and will lift containers one at a time and stack them four high. The empty handler will lift two at a time and stack them eight high. It features a special XTL axle which allows each drive tyre to rotate independently, resulting in fuel and tyre cost savings.

Port Nelson is the gateway for a region that produces forestry products, fruit and wine and is a processing base for seafood.

It utilises a range of equipment in its operations including two Liebherr mobile harbour cranes and over 30 forklifts with lifting capacity ranging from 5 T to 40 T.
