Hoist Liftruck Manufacturing Inc of Bedford Park delivered two heavy-duty units to a logistics company in Turkey and expects within weeks to deliver two more.

Hoist has worked with the unidentified first-time customer for more than a year with a focus on strategic planning and verification of specifications for certain rugged steel, energy and granite-block applications.

Hoist received the order in late January.

The initial deliveries are two compact pneumatic-tyred models in Hoist's P-series - a 36,000 lb capacity (16,000 kg) P360 and a 72,000 lb capacity (33,000 kg) P720 - with AxleTech planetary drive axle and low-profile counterweight positioning.

The upcoming deliveries include another P720 and a pneumatic-tyred 19,800 lb (9,000kg) ECH-6 empty container handling unit in Hoist's ECH series. The ECH-6 has a standard high-mount cab position, rigid inner mast/telescoping outer mast, a raised height of 52.3 ft (16 m) and a maximum height of 54.8 ft (16.4 m).

Separately, Hoist Liftruck says its engineering talent is working on its reach-stacker series to complement its container handlers and pneumatic product lines.
