Clark plans to give dealers a lift |
Trying to aid its North American dealers, Clark Material Handling Co unveiled a dozen initiatives on 16 February that may help distributors in the areas of aftermarket parts, new equipment financing and forklift sales.
"We need to provide an element of support and focus for our dealers during these challenging times," Dennis Lawrence, president and chief executive officer of Lexington-based Clark, says in a statement. "Clark is very focused on running its business in a manner that positively contributes to our dealers' overall operations."
The stimulus initiatives are intended to help Clark's authorised dealers over a 90-day business period and include incentives for dealership parts, service, rental and sales departments.
Lawrence initiated the program and directed members of his senior staff to focus on programs that can aid dealers quickly.
"We have spent a tremendous amount of time and resources in developing a series of strategies," notes Scott Johnson, Clark director of dealer services. "We have utilised teams to address specific disciplines and issues" and given consideration and review to possible contingencies.
