NA 2008, the Material Handling & Logistics Show and Conference on April 21-24 in Cleveland, will feature more than 500 exhibits including numerous forklift makers and equipment suppliers. The exhibits will cover more than 160,000 square feet (14,200 square metres).

Corporate environmental strategist Andrew Winston is scheduled to deliver the NA 2008 keynote address. He is co-author of the 2006 book "Green to Gold: How Smart Companies Use Environmental Strategy to Innovate, Create Value, and Build Competitive Advantage".

NA 2008 organisers have established an Earth Day-related green pavilion with information from the US Environmental Protection Agency, Michigan State University School of Packaging, Ohio Fuel Cell Coalition, Cleveland Sustainability Council and US Green Building Council.

In conjunction with NA 2008, the College Industry Council on Material Handling Education (CICMHE) will hold the fifth annual classroom day to increase the recognition of the business among students and to offer them an opportunity for contact with industry professionals.

Trade association Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA), based in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, sponsors NA 2008 as a biennial North American showcase of equipment, systems and technologies. MHIA members include material handling equipment and systems manufacturers, integrators, third-party logistics providers, consultants, simulators and publishers.
