A Macneill counterbalanced electric forklift

Indian forklift manufacturer Macneill Engineering Ltd has entered into a technical collaboration with a south east Asian forklift manufacturer.

The Hindu Business Line reported that Macneill and its partner would introduce 2.5 to three ton diesel forklifts to the Indian market.

Macneill CEO Pradip Churiwal told the Business Line he couldn't name his technical partner "at the moment" because of "commercial confidentiality".

He said the new range of forklifts would be economical and supported by one year after-sales warranties and nationwide service.

The Business Line said Macneill's forklift production for March of 41 units was record breaking. Previously, the Calcutta-based manufacturer produced 23 forklifts a month.

Macneill is also a Linde forklift distributor in India (Forkliftaction.com News #207).
