The Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) is offering discount vouchers to help forklift owners and operators make their work environments safer.
The vouchers are part of a Safety 4MOST resource pack that includes four striking safety posters and guidance notes to help reduce forklift incidents. MOST is an acronym for management operator site & truck.
FLTA chief executive David Ellison said forklift operators need to get the basics right to reduce forklift incidents.
A survey conducted for the FLTA found 90 per cent of operators did not wear seat belts.
"We have decided to tackle the problem head-on with the combination of clear, concise information and workplace safety posters.
"Importantly, we are also offering a financial incentive for improvement through a series of money-off vouchers," Ellison said.
The vouchers offer a 10 per cent discount on operator training, a 20 per cent discount on daily checks handbooks and 20 per cent off the joining fee for FLTA's Safe User Group.
