Five boys in Western Australia charged with robbery at a Newman business allegedly tried to drive a forklift at the rear of the shop.

Newman police alleged the boys, aged 11 to 13, broke into Tjilla Autos, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported.

They allegedly stole cash, keys and two rare collector model cars.

Police alleged the boys emptied four fire extinguishers, covering the premises in powder.
