SICK's Lector 8512 Ultra Scene image-based code reader
German-headquartered industrial sensor-based applications provider SICK has launched its Lector 83x range of advanced camera-based code readers and its Lector 8512 Ultra Scene advanced image-based code reader.
The Lector 83x, which tracks and traces finished products and components, delivers flexible identification for all popular 1D and 2D printed barcodes.
SICK says it is suitable for medium reading distances because of its depth of field and comes with on-board connectivity, including support for numerous industrial protocols.
The Lector 8512 Ultra Scene is now part of the Lector 85x range and delivers, according to SICK, leading field and depth of view.
It includes an imager providing 6048 pixels x 2048 pixels; a reader that can detect the smallest codes over the widest conveyors using only one device.
SICK says it can cover conveyor widths or pallet heights of more than 1.5m with a single device.
