EP Equipment releases its Green RangeHangzhou-based materials handling equipment manufacturer EP Equipment, one of China’s top five forklift producers, has split its suite of vehicles into two ranges with its new Green Range built around remanufactured forklifts.
The Green Range sees the chassis and counterweights from old diesel forklifts repurposed into lithium-powered electric forklifts.
The Green Range, which EP Equipment concedes is “limited”, includes: the EFXZ, EP’s recycled IC forklifts; the EFL302B – 4-wheel Li-ion counterbalance forklift; the TCL compact three-wheel forklift; the DS3 electric stacker; and the EPT15 EZ and ET9 electric pallet trucks.
EP Equipment says the Green Range is “built around real-use cases where customers demand reliable trucks for basic tasks, without complex upgrades and additional features”.
“Today’s market tells us a new story,” EP Equipment states. “A growing segment of customers and partners [are] looking for simpler, greener, and more affordable alternatives without compromising core functionality. That’s exactly where the EP Green Range comes in.
“This circular economy model dramatically reduces the energy and raw material required to produce new equipment. By reusing chassis and counterweights from existing trucks and upgrading them with cutting-edge lithium batteries, we offer one of the most environmentally friendly forklift solutions available today.”
EP Equipment was founded in 2007 and has since introduced a range of materials handling equipment. The full product line, with the exception of the Green Range, now falls under the Red Range.
"The EP Red Range is for customers and dealers who rely on complete service support, advanced features, and local troubleshooting capabilities,” EP Equipment continues.
“Meanwhile, the EP Green Range is ideal for cost-conscious buyers and dealers with e-commerce or direct-sale models, offering essential functionality with limited support, shorter warranties, and factory-managed after-sales.”
