Thumbs up for Associated's health plan
CAROL STREAM, IL, United StatesRaymond forklift dealer Associated Material Handling Industries will offer its 325 employees a tax-advantaged health care option from July 1.
US treasury secretary John Snow praised Associated for offering the health care plan, paired with health savings accounts (HSAs), on a visit to Associated to promote HSAs.
"HSAs let consumers contribute funds that can be used tax-free to pay for qualified medical expenses," Associated CEO Mike Romano said. "Unused money rolls over year after year and workers [can take] the account with them when they change jobs."
