Dutch army acquires telehandlersThe Dutch Armed Forces have taken delivery of the majority of a large order placed with equipment provider Bobcat, which included 53 telehandlers, 63 modified portable air compressors and 127 compactors.
Bobcat released details of the order this week, saying most of the telehandlers were delivered during 2024 and comprised of a mix of TL25.60 and TL35.105L telehandlers in army green to be used for logistical support for the Dutch Royal Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force.
The final units, including those for the Air Mobile Brigade, will be delivered in early 2025.
The order for the telehandlers and compactors was secured by Bobcat’s authorised dealer for the Netherlands, Inter-Techno.
The TL25.60 telehandler can lift a maximum of 2,500 kg with a lift height of 6 m. The TL35.105L has a lifting height of 10.5 m and can lift a weight of 3500 kg.
Bobcat explains the telehandlers for the Air Mobile Brigade are equipped with extra lifting eyes for transport under helicopters.
Special pallet forks for use by the armed forces - which can be adjusted in length to the pallet shape and load and which also fold down so there are no protruding forks - are also being supplied with the telehandlers.
