The global vaccination campaign is having benefits beyond health, with the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development predicting that the world economy is likely to expand by 5.6% in 2021.
OECD attributes some of the recovery impetus to the deployment of effective vaccines, but also notes the contribution from economic stimulus measures in the US.
The good news is that the global economy is now likely to reach pre-pandemic levels of activity by the middle of this year.
The materials handling sector seems to be in front of the curve on the recovery front - and should benefit further as other sectors gain momentum.
Time will tell!
