A few weeks back, the world was watching Russia as the Winter Olympics grabbed media attention. Of course, the forklift industry has been keeping a close eye on Russia for some time, with a number of big players targeting the region for growth - and doing quite nicely from it, too.
A fortnight ago, the biggest grumbles were about a missing Olympic ring at the opening ceremony and the poor snow quality on some of the ski runs.
How quickly things change, and now the crisis in Crimea is on the front pages.
There's no indication that the current tensions will do anything to dampen the buoyant Russian materials handling market, but no doubt plenty of forklift bosses are watching closely.
