Thanks to all who contacted us expressing concern last week as Brisbane hit world headlines with its floods. The offices of Forkliftaction.com were unscathed and all the staff were relatively unaffected, although most of us suffered power outages at our homes and some of us were cut off from civilisation for a few days.
Of more concern, however, are a number of forklift and materials handling businesses inundated in the flood. As it turned out, the area with the biggest cluster of forklift businesses, near the city's main produce market, was among the worst affected. However, as we finalised this week's newsletter, it appeared to be business as usual - or close to that - for all of them.
