Myers Forklift joins the BMH Equipment networkThe acquisition of Myers Forklift in December was the fifth materials handling purchase by BMH Equipment in 12 months.
Myers joins Frank H. Gill & Co. (Lansing, IL); Mass Lift Truck (Everett, MA); Granite Industrial (Milford, NH); and Binghamton Material Handling (Binghamton, NY) in the acquisition trail.
“The Myers acquisition allowed us to expand our Heli forklifts and Taylor-Dunn franchise from Chicago, Illinois to Battle Creek, Michigan. We look forward to building out their capabilities to better service their customer base in Southwest Michigan,” says James Wiese, president of BMH.
He adds that when Myers Forklift owners Donald and Barbara Myers were looking to transition into retirement, BMH appeared as a buyer they could trust to take care of their customers and continue to grow the business.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
BMH Equipment, formerly known as The Cavanaugh Company, claims to be one of the fastest-growing companies in the materials handling space, having grown 732% year-over-year in 2022.
