Airbus will add two Gaussin Multi-Purpose VehiclesGaussin has received a new order from Airbus Atlantic for two Multi-Purpose Vehicles.
The MPV is a heavy-load transporter dedicated to handling operations at the Airbus Atlantic plant of Montoir-de-Bretagne in France.
The vehicles, with a payload of 80 T, will be hybrid, with swappable Powerpacks.
The delivery is planned for 2024, where the two new units will join an MPV that has been in operation since 1996. The two new vehicles will be integrated into the assembly line and will contribute to the productivity of the Airbus Atlantic plant at Montoir-de-Bretagne.
“Gaussin has demonstrated its ability to respond to the energy transition in the industry with its heavy mobility solutions. We are pleased to be able to work with Airbus, in the scope of innovation and climate ambition, which announces very good prospects,” says CEO Christophe Gaussin.
Gaussin adds that the latest order is “part of a favourable global context for the group”, with two tenders under way for major deliveries in early 2023, and other significant orders in the pipeline.
