Hyundai Construction Equipment has appointed Mabo Lifting as its exclusive distribution partner for materials handling equipment throughout Belgium and Luxembourg. 

With more than 35 years’ experience and expertise in the materials handling and logistics industries, Mabo Lifting is a family business that prioritises customer service.

“Mabo Lifting is a forklift and automation specialist that works together with the customer to implement the best logistics solutions for their applications, whether that is sideloaders, truck-mounted forklifts, narrow-aisle forklifts or automated forklifts,” says CEO Maarten Mariën-Bouwens.

“Our customers have been asking for a long time whether Mabo Lifting could provide standard forklifts. With the philosophy and strong product of Hyundai, we are convinced that this will fulfil our forklift requirement and create a wide market for Hyundai in the BeLux market. 

“Hyundai is a very strong brand and we would not add just any forklift to our line-up. Hyundai has enormous expertise in designing equipment - you can also find this in its construction equipment and cars,” he adds. 

Mabo Lifting was originally formed as a standard forklift company, so the agreement with Hyundai takes the business back to its roots. 

Mabo Lifting has two depots in Lier and one in Zulte, in Belgium, along with one in Weiswampach, Luxembourg. 

The four sites will offer Hyundai sales, after-sales service and equipment rental. The company has two additional depots, in Vianen and Enkhuizen in the Netherlands, but these outlets will not be included in the Hyundai agreement.
