Hyundai OEM production starts at UN
The first Hyundai-branded forklift manufactured as part of an OEM agreement with UN Forklift has rolled off the line at the dedicated plant in Hangzhou.
Officials from both companies were on hand to mark the start of mass production, another important milestone in the history of the development of UN Forklift.
Since UN Forklift and Hyundai Construction Equipment (HCE) officially signed the OEM Project agreement, UN Forklift has adopted automation and intelligent improvement as its goals.
This resulted in investment in new control equipment and automated processing equipment as well as transformation of the new forklift assembly line.
UN says it is committed to advanced manufacturing technology and equipment, as well as new technologies and new materials that are environmentally friendly and energy-saving.
Last year, UN Forklift and HCE signed an OEM agreement, making UN one of the most important partners of the Korean equipment giant.
