Emergency services attend at the accident scene
Jonathan Willis is extremely thankful after he survived being impaled through the abdomen by a tine on his forklift.
The 42-year-old farmer was unloading straw bales when the vehicle rolled into him.
The emergency services managed to free him before he was transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge for surgery, still impaled by the tine.
The BBC reports emergency services took an hour to free Willis from the forklift, while he remained awake and standing.
Wife Wendy says without the skills of the air ambulance team, her husband would not have made it.
With Willis now on the road to a full recovery, his family has raised GBP45,000 (USD60,000) for the air medics charity that helped saved his life.
