Palfinger has restructured its Italian operations, integrating Palfinger Platforms Italy (PPI) into the Global Palfinger Organization.

The company says this move recognises the strength of the Italian light aerial work platforms market and further strengthens its position.

To guarantee swift and lasting success, Palfinger has chosen to call upon Marcello Fortunato to lead this process, according to a company statement. Fortunato will augment his role as VP global sales and operations planning with the additional role of managing director of PPI. One of his priorities is to fully integrate PPI into the GPO and to ensure that customers and business partners in Italy profit from the new possibilities offered.

PPI will enhance access to competencies and services the Group offers. The product line developments are now guided by Gerald Pschernig, an expert with a long-standing track record from the loader crane product line within Palfinger. It is his task to reinforce this product division, increasing the scale and unveiling the full potential of global distribution, focusing on customer solutions.
