Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe
has appointed Christopher Thompson as the new materials handling sales director for the European market. With extensive experience in the automotive and materials handling business, ranging from sales, after sales, and rebranding to dealer network development, Thompson will lead the European sales department, including all materials handling area sales managers and the complete MH sales back office.
UK-born Thompson will be based at the European headquarters in Tessenderlo, Belgium.

Telehandler and forklift industry veteran Lindsay Shankland has been appointed chief executive of Magni Telehandlers South Africa
Shankland has been a joint owner of Verlinde Cranes & Hoists South Africa since 2013. He had been managing director of Manitou Southern Africa, having joined the company in 2002.
A mechanical engineer by training, Shankland began his materials handling career in 1972 with Barloworld Handling/Hyster Forklifts South Africa, rising to sales director, before leaving the company in 1988 to take up a similar role at Saficon Industrial/Toyota Forklifts. He left the Toyota business almost 14 years later to join Manitou South Africa in 2002.

has appointed Gregory Gilland as its new vice president of the global agricultural program.
Gilland assumes this key leadership position with years of valuable industry experience and a great depth of market knowledge. He joined Maxam Tire as the North American segment manager of agricultural tyres in 2018.
Prior to joining Maxam, he built over 20 years of experience in the tyre industry, with eight years dedicated to the agricultural industry, working primarily with global agricultural original equipment manufacturers. Before working in the tyre industry, Gilland served in the US Navy for 15 years as a naval officer.
