 Riwal's new UK depot |
Aerial work platform and telehandler rental specialist Riwal continues to expand in Europe with the opening of four new depots in the UK, France, Netherlands and Croatia.
The new UK depot is located at Hemel Hempstead, north of London. The new location provides an immediate link to the national motorway network and the orbital motorway that surrounds Greater London. This makes it easy to transport machines to and from central London, Heathrow and Stanstead Airports.
In France, Riwal has chosen Ecquevilly, a city west of Paris, as the location for a new depot to serve customers in the Île de France region. Encompassing Paris and the surrounding suburbs, this region has an increasing customer need for powered access equipment. Riwal now has three depots in this region, with a fleet of 1,000 machines. Additionally, the new depot is certified to lead CACES training, a course that helps operators learn to operate aerial work platforms and telehandlers safely, along with other types of safety training.
Zwolle, a city in the northeast of the Netherlands, is the location of the next depot to open in Riwal's home country. The central location of Zwolle is optimal for increasing the company's presence in an area that was previously not covered by a local depot.
In Croatia, Riwal has selected Rijeka, the third-largest city and an important seaport located on the Kvarner Bay, making it strategically accessible. With an economy that relies heavily on maritime transport and shipbuilding, Rijeka is an excellent location for Riwal to open a depot in order to be able to serve customers who focus on port expansion developments. The depot will be close to the highway to Zagreb, increasing the ease of transporting machines. In addition, as this depot will be more centrally located in Croatia, both the time to deliver machines and transportation costs will decrease, benefitting their customers.
Pedro Torres, Riwal CEO, comments: "By opening new depots in Europe, we strive to deliver access solutions to customers more conveniently. Having closer proximity allows us to serve our customers even better, helping them to complete their projects at height both efficiently and safely. Increasing our presence throughout Europe will allow us to have a faster response time, which is at the core of delivering the best customer experience."
