More than 100 companies will exhibit the latest innovations and developments in the breakbulk, RoRo and heavy lift industries when the inaugural AntwerpXL is held at the Antwerp Expo in the Port of Antwerp in Belgium on 7-9 May 2019. Organisations from all over the world, including C. Steinweg Belgium N.V., Grimaldi Group and Fast Lines Belgium, will be in attendance, presenting their industry-leading products and services.

Wallenius Wilhelmsen (WW) Solutions will highlight its global terminal network and demonstrate its terminal handling capacities for breakbulk cargo, including storage, loading and discharge capabilities via rail, barge, RoRo and LoLo. Wallenius Wilhelmsen (WW) Ocean will highlight its deep-sea solutions for breakbulk and project cargo; a fleet of 120 vessels, all able to accommodate cargo stretching up to 6.5 metres tall and weighing up to 400 tonnes. Didier Verhoeven, General Manager Sales Benelux at WW Ocean and Werner Van Dessel, Senior Business Development Manager Technical Services, EMEA, at WW Solutions, jointly state that "Cargo owners and shippers will have the opportunity to learn how WW Oceans' modern fleet of RoRo vessels and WW Solutions' terminal operations and best-in-class cargo handling capabilities work to minimise delays and damages incurred in the transport of goods."

"AntwerpXL is an ideal opportunity to exhibit our RoRo network and terminal handling services in front of industry peers, discuss the latest industry trends and demonstrate the value and quality we can provide on land and sea."

Both Central Oceans and Rollit CARGO will demonstrate a complete range of services offered to facilitate the transport of oversized, complicated and project related cargoes. Petra Seidel, Assistant Manager at Rollit CARGO, comments: "... Rollit CARGO will showcase the ways in which its heavy lift crawler cranes, wide range of telescopic cranes and its own unique Self-Propelled Modular Trailers (SPMT) can be used to accommodate any transhipment, storage or assembly needs."

Atlas Shipping Services is exhibiting at the event, along with its three business partners, United Cargo Management, Vision Log - Centaurea Group and Peter Rathmann & Co. GmbH. All four organisations will demonstrate how they handle projects, heavy lift shipments, breakbulk and full charters in different types of machineries. Carlton W. Blair III, Managing Director at United Cargo Managements, concludes: "AntwerpXL is the ideal event for us to share and build new contacts with industry-leaders in order to support the future needs of our customers and their global commitments."

Furthermore, MSC Belgium will showcase the results of its recent investment into Project Cargo and RoRo shipments. The world leading container shipping company now owns two large ConRo vessels as part of its fleet. At AntwerpXL, the company will discuss how these vessels, which are more environmentally friendly than any other operating between Antwerp and West Africa, have a ramp capacity of 350 tonnes and a deck height of up to 6 metres. Philippe Lambrechtsen, Project Cargo Manager at MSC Belgium, comments: "AntwerpXL is an excellent event to meet with new and existing customers and to show the world that MSC thinks big."

Aside from these exhibitors, AntwerpXL will host a range of entirely service-led industry organisations. Portilog CVBA is launching a new masterclass in breakbulk aimed at those who want to further their industry knowledge and reflect on the latest developments within the sector. The course, to be taught in Dutch, will cover an extensive list of topics including the organisation of port labour, inland shipping, shortsea operations and coaster chartering. Yves Van Meirvenne, Business Development Executive at Portilog CVBA, comments: "AntwerpXL is a leading event for the transfer of breakbulk knowledge. With so many exhibitors and visitors in the breakbulk industry present, it is the ideal place to shout about our course and join industry conversations". LMA Legal is launching its new legal flat monthly service whereby clients can obtain legal advice on any matter related to their daily breakbulk business by only paying a fixed monthly rate fee. Dr Miquel Roca, Managing Partner at LMA Legal, comments: "Being a new launch event and one of the most important ports in the world when it comes to breakbulk and project cargo, AntwerpXL is the ideal place to exhibit our breakbulk legal services to carriers, cargo owners, charterers, brokers and port terminals."

Mark Rimmer, StocExpo & Tank Storage Portfolio Divisional Director, concludes: "This revolutionary exhibition is here to provide a platform for leading companies from across the breakbulk, maritime and project cargo industries to showcase their products and services. The organisations mentioned here represent just a snapshot of the 100 plus exhibitors that will be accessible to all who attend. If you want to get amongst the latest industry trends and innovations, AntwerpXL 2019 is the place to be."
