MHEDA will feature dynamic speakers and numerous networking forums |
MHEDA has released details of its 63rd Annual Convention to be held at The Loews Miami Beach Hotel in Florida from May 5-9.
Titled "What's Your Vision?", the gathering will feature dynamic speakers and numerous networking forums to help members prepare for the future.
Among the keynote addresses, futurist Mike Walsh will talk about "Designing Your Business for the 21st Century". The session promises to delve into the megatrends shaping the future and the lessons learned from successful companies on leveraging disruptive innovation, adopting a data-driven mindset and leading change through digital transformation.
MHEDA will also deliver its economic forecast, with Brian Beaulieu, CEO/principal of ITR Economics, revealing both opportunities and challenges. Beaulieu will explain why he thinks it is important to understand the difference between a potential slump in activity (2019) and the extended upside potential wrought by e-commerce and ongoing labour shortage.
Demographer Kenneth W. Gronbach, president of KGC Direct, will continue the forecasts, looking at societal, political, economic, cultural and commercial phenomena that are changing the business world.
To probe the impact of social media and online marketing, Jay Majithia of Strategic Partnerships at Google, and Aaron James, co-owner of Adpearance, will host a session on "Digital Solutions for the Material Handling Industry".
The event will include a trade show on the first two days.
