The growth of Big Joe brand products in North America continues to outpace the industry in 2017 with June, July and August set to come in as all-time record months for the company. In order to continue this trend of strong sales growth, the firm has recently launched the first of a new series of products exclusively using lithium battery technology and added to it's expanding sales management team.

The Big Joe E25 electric pallet jack
is the first of the brand's new lithium based products and was released on July 15th of this year. Unique to this model is that it is the first Big Joe product to use their new "Easy Exchange" 8lb. portable lithium power pack, which is similar conceptually to power supplies on cordless hand tools. The use of a small exchangeable battery with the power density and quick recharge time of lithium cells is hoped to be a strong motivator in moving companies away from the use of manual pallet jacks and towards electric. Especially on the E25 given the revolutionary form factor and price point of this new model.

The Big Joe E25 can handle 2,500lb loads with a power head length of just 15.25" and a gross weight under 300lb. Variable travel controls, horn, electric brake, removable key fob, battery discharge indicator, powered lift and 27x45 forks are standard on the truck. Along with such features common to larger units, the E25 has a unique manual lowering handle which mimics the manual pallet jacks it hopes to replace. Not only is this feature familiar to users of manual equipment it is also purposeful as it helps deliver efficiency in both run time and use.

A permanent magnet drive motor also contributes to extending run time on the E25 which can continuously operate for up to 3 hours with charge times being roughly half of that duration. When an extra battery is purchased the E25 never needs to be idle for lack of power, as a small external bench charger is included to ensure that a fresh battery can always be at the ready. With an introductory list price of only $2,500 with an extra "Easy Exchange" battery, the Big Joe team expects big things from the E25 and the products that are coming behind it over the next few years.

Along with some bold moves on the product side, the Big Joe sales team is also very excited to announce their latest hire, John Hicks of Birmingham Alabama. John will be covering the Southeastern region of the USA for Big Joe as a Regional Sales Manager and started with the company on August 1st. John's duties in the Southeast region will be fully integrated within the team by year's end and will include the states of Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida and North and South Carolina. Mr. Hicks comes to the organization with over 30 years of experience in the industry having worked previously for the Thompson Tractor Company and more recently in finance with Bank of the West.

John's addition to the sales team will be supplemented with additional personnel in the coming months to ensure highly responsive and professional support is maintained for Big Joe dealers during this period of strong growth. "John is very excited about what we are doing as a company and we couldn't be more thrilled to have him representing the Big Joe brand", said Bill Pedriana the Chief Marketing Officer at Big Lift LLC. "John is a consummate professional, has been a respected leader in his prior roles, and has an exceptional understanding of the business at the dealer level and the needs of customers we seek to serve. These attributes are essential for us to continue to grow, and John brings them to our team in spades", continued Pedriana.
