Designed for the most arduous applicationsThe new
Profile Guided Pallet Handler stands out in many aspects: the chassis and arm design underwent an extremely demanding cycle test with a load twice the nominal capacity that it is designed for.
"We stopped after we surpassed 1 Million cycles because, the unit simply didn't show any defects so, we are very confident we are presenting an extremely robust design - no other products that underwent exactly the same test procedure achieved comparable results" Ingmar Grabbe Product Manager Beverage Logistics at MEYER GmbH, proudly explains. Next to its robustness the new design embodies the typical product advantages that MEYER Pallet Handlers are well appreciated for: cleanliness in operation, fast operation speed with equal forks travel, and an optimum of visibility on all operation levels.
Maximum flexibility in OperationApplications and demands constantly vary - besides typical standard operations, many applications require a specialized product, either for handling various non-standard load sizes, or to accommodate the many demands for special fork opening ranges and very often also fork settings and open / closing sequences.
The new MEYER profile guided Pallet Handled is engineered just around such demands: the design allows a quick and easy change-over of fork setting distance, the fork sequencing and even the opening range with a minimum of additional parts required.
Mr. Grabbe underlines:
"We also incorporated a Dual Mounting concept into the new Attachment Chassis, which allows to switch over from ISO 2328 Mounting Class 2, to Class 3 and vice versa, using just one single sideshift arrangement - this significantly supports fleet users and rental fleet operators to have flexibly for reacting to Fork Truck availabilities and changing or fluctuating applications. The challenge for our engineers was to design a Chassis with an optimum of visibility at all sight levels, which we perfectly achieved"Optimised towards a minimum of Total Cost of OwnershipFork Truck and Attachment Fleets, usually nowadays, operate a full maintenance lease contract and are targeted to a minimum of maintenance requirements. Wherever wear and tear is unavoidable the related components are expected to last over the longest possible period of use.
Mr. Grabbe explains further:
"With this new design concept we were able to almost eliminate all wearing components and, the consumable components fitted have an extremely long-life characteristic and can be exchanged within a few minutes. Together with the Technical University of Clausthal-Zellerfeld in Germany we analyzed the state-of-the-art plastics, which optimally combine robustness and long-life with high self-lubricating characteristics".
"When it still comes to exchanging these Plastic Inserts with our new Profile Concept, it just takes a few minutes to change them", Mr. Grabbe highlights.
