Big Lift LLC, manufacturer and distributor of Big Joe brand material handling equipment, will complete of a number of expansion plans next month in response to continuing strong growth in North America.

The company, which has launched more than two dozen new lift truck models in the past 6 years, has experienced double digit growth since 2009 when it joined with EP equipment. To keep pace with market demand and to ensure a high level of customer service, Big Lift is continuing to add people, products and facilities. Next month the company will complete its' plans for 2016 on schedule which include an expansion to its' Chicago area headquarters, several new model introductions and key staff additions.

On July 15th, Big Lift will introduce a pedestrian tugger and a semi-electric pallet truck to its' model line-up which gained three other models earlier in the year - the PDSR walkie reach truck, the J1-192 Joey task support vehicle, and the J2-72 Joey low level order picker.

The new tugger, the T15, is an electric powered walk behind unit that can easily integrate with many common material handling carts. Capable of pulling up to 1,500lbs, the T15 will come standard with both a frame grab and a pin style connector which mount to an articulating tow arm. With the move in many industries to more rolling stock and a need to reduce the cumulative effects of physical labor, the T15 has been designed to be an easy to use and deploy solution.

The new semi-electric pallet truck, the P33, offers powered travel and a manual pump in a simple high quality 3,300lb capacity unit. Designed to help dealers migrate users from purely manual equipment, the Big Joe P33, is the same size as a manual pallet truck and eliminates the risk of worker injury caused by pulling and pushing heavy loads.

With the Big Joe product line up and overall business continuing to grow, Big Lift has added a number of new staff at its' Wisconsin Dells, WI. and Lombard, IL. facilities. Key staff additions include Devin Pettis who has joined engineering team in Wisconsin, and Diane Moylan and Paul Shinn who have joined the sales and marketing team in Illinois. To accommodate new staff and future growth, the Lombard facility has recently increased office space by one third and now features a new larger conference room.

Paul Shinn, who is joining the team as a new regional sales manager, will be primarily focused on the northeastern US to help support the Big Joe dealer network which comprises more than 90 locations throughout North America. Paul comes to the Big Joe team with a wealth of industry experience having previously been a national sales and product training specialist with Toyota Material Handling USA Inc.
