Jungheinrich has opened a new regional warehouse in Russia. Located in the town of Kuzayevo near Moscow, the spare parts warehouse is operated by logistics specialists Kühne + Nagel Kontrakt-Logistik.
"We consider our new regional warehouse in Russia to be a strategic warehouse location which will allow us to improve the supply of spare parts not only to our clients in Russia, but to our clients in neighbouring countries in future as well," explains Stefan Brehm, vice president for after-sales. "The new regional warehouse ... strengthens our global network, since our spare parts logistics and availability can be managed even more efficiently."
A total of 12,000 different articles are stored at the warehouse facility. Jungheinrich estimates an annual flow of roughly 32,000 incoming and 60,000 outgoing deliveries.
The facility will improve Jungheinrich's service capability in the region, where it has over 70 support bases with more than 180 service engineers.
Jungheinrich has increasingly focused on its parts distribution network, moving its central spare parts depot from Norderstedt to a new facility in Kaltenkirchen in 2013
(Forkliftaction.com News #633).
At the time, the company said the move "took Jungheinrich's spare parts logistics to a whole new level".
Jungheinrich flagged the Kaltenkirchen development as the foundation of " an even better fulfilment of future market requirements".
