Spanish rough-terrain forklift manufacturer AUSA is aiming for double-digit growth in 2015, after lifting turnover by 5% last year "despite the unfavourable economic and geopolitical world situation".
The company reports that turnover in its home market surged by 50% last year "thanks to the strategic decisions taken a few years before".
International expansion has seen the creation of a new subsidiary in the USA "to reinforce our presence in the North American market", according to a company statement.
AUSA also boosted its business with new partners in Colombia, Chile, Peru and Brazil, achieving two-fold growth in America.
Late last year, when AUSA appointed two dealers in Brazil, marketing manager Aida Sorribas told Forkliftaction.com News AUSA plans to be one of the principal players in the Brazilian market with a minimum annual growth rate of 25% for that market.
The company plans to further raise its profile in South America when it participates in the International Exhibition of Equipment for Construction and Mining (M&T Expo) in Brazil in June.
"AUSA couldn't miss the opportunity of attending there," says a spokesman, adding that the company will show off 10 of its "most important machines" at the exhibition.
AUSA's confidence for 2015 is boosted by a number of new dealership agreements around the world. "This global grip can now be seen in more than 90 countries through a dealer network close to 500 partners," the spokesman adds, stressing optimism for growth in areas and sectors such as new markets in Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
Founded in 1956, AUSA designs, manufactures and markets compact commercial vehicles for construction, materials handling and agriculture. It has subsidiaries in France, Mexico, Brazil and USA and representative offices in Spain, UK, Germany, EUA and China.
