Aerial work platform (AWP) and telehandler rental specialist Riwal has signed a five-year framework agreement for long-term rentals with Prangl, a mobile crane and AWP rental firm for Austria and Eastern Europe.

As part of the agreement, a three-year rental deal was concluded for 79 JLG AWPs, consisting of electric scissor lifts, diesel scissor lifts, electric booms and telehandlers. Prangl will rent the machines to its customers in Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Czech Republic.

Markus Reitermayer, head of business development at Prangl, says his company considers rental as an interesting alternative to purchasing equipment. "Besides Riwal's wide offering of quality machines, other key factors for this decision were Riwal's response time, flexibility and expertise in service and training."

Guillaume Getas, Riwal's international rental manager, calls the agreement "a good example" of the firm's international reach. "In addition, Riwal's and Prangl's footprints are complementary, so that this agreement will be beneficial to customers from both companies that are operating internationally."

Established in 1968 and headquartered in The Netherlands, the Riwal Holding Group is an international rental specialist of aerial work platforms, telehandlers and power generators. Riwal employs over 1,200 people and has operations in 18 countries on four continents.
