TMHE ranked in top 2%, wins Red Dot
Brussels, BelgiumEcoVadis has ranked Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) among the world's top 2% of suppliers in terms of transparency on sustainability.
"Transparency, sustainable manufacturing and continuous improvement lie at the heart of everything we do at Toyota Material Handling. In fact, our commitment to sustainability goes back a long way and stems from our parent company's first Environmental Action Plan, conceived in 1993. Gaining the seal of approval from EcoVadis, therefore, tells us our approach is right," TMHE says.
EcoVadis claims to be the leading industry sustainability monitoring body in the world, with 24,000 companies across 145 industry sectors in 95 countries subscribing to its services.
Separately, TMHE's BT Levio P-series powered pallet truck has won the 2015 Red Dot Award. The series was previously awarded the iF Product Design Award 2015.
Doosan expands in Finland
Tampere, FinlandDoosan Corporation Industrial Vehicle has enhanced its presence in Finland after its Finnish dealer, Suomen Konetalo, opened a second office in Tampere.
Suomen Konetalo's main office is in Oulu and its sub-dealers are located in Espoo, Lieto and Pori. The new branch offers truck maintenance and spare parts.
STILL honoured for automation
Coventry, United KingdomSTILL has received two awards for innovative products in material transportation at the IntraLogisteX trade fair in Coventry, Great Britain. The gold award went to the iGoRemote and the silver award to an innovative material flow solution with automated trucks recently implemented at a customer site.
The iGoRemote system consists of a CX 20 order picker truck or a CX-T tractor, a remote control unit and a radio receiver as well as personal protection equipment.
