The forthcoming SAFC/ICHCA national 'Sustainable Supply Chain Solutions' conference being held in at the SAJC Morphettville Racecourse, Adelaide on the 29th & 30th of October 2014 is attracting significant interest." We are putting an exciting program together with an excellent line up of speakers covering a wide range of topics" said Conference Coordinator, Ian Lovell.

The Conference will cover the key elements of supply chain sustainability including the environment, safety, productivity, trade, innovation and new technology. For an industry that is not generally perceived as being 'green' come along and find out how much is already being done and the way forward in the future. Learn from those that are already making gains in being 'productively green' and achieving a better bottom line.

The Conference

ICHCA Conferences have a well established reputation for the breadth of topics covered, expert speakers, and valuable contact network as evidenced by the ICHCA 2012 International Conference held in Melbourne.

The participation of SAFC with ICHCA for this coming event in October will provide the opportunity for participants to network, discuss and share perspectives on a significant range of challenges and solutions.

The Conference program aims to cover a wide range of topics and address key issues such as:
  • Future national and global trade issues
  • Environmental sustainability in the freight industry - regulations vs best practice
  • The impacts of government policies for freight - now and in the future
  • What customers Want
  • Increasing productivity and reducing environmental impacts
  • Overcoming challenges in Infrastructure, Ports, Stevedoring and Shipping
  • Safety and training - is enough being done?
  • Advances in Information Technology
  • Future developments and innovation
For sponsors, speakers and exhibitors the Conference provides a real opportunity to deliver a targeted message and open doors to greater business opportunities.

The Conference and Exhibition Audience

The Conference is expected to attract over 150 delegates from diverse backgrounds from Australia and overseas given the wide range of areas represented by SAFC and ICHCA.

The combined membership of SAFC and ICHCA covers a wide range of government and businesses in Australia and overseas involved in transport and logistics. SAFC's membership, predominantly in South Australia and nationally, is complimented by the national, regional and international membership of ICHCA, which has members in 37 countries.

The Conference and Exhibition is being held over two days with the popular Gala Dinner being held at the end of the first day. On the day following the Conference there is an industry tour and the day after a chance to spend a day at the races.

I know I can count on them. They give valuable suggestions on the campaign planning, and to publish content is as easy as abc, as they take care of the material layout and check links. This is a great support.
