Taylor Mill, Kentucky - Amy Dunn, President of The ForkLift Works, believe businesses have emerged from the worst recession in history with a different mindset. "We've learned-both as consumers and industrial buyers- that we must invest in affordable products that last. This includes everything from the cars we drive to the forklifts that move goods to market," says Dunn. "We've organized our company to provide an honest value in the products we offer. This includes everything from used forklifts to the 15,000 new industrial products we carry," she adds. The firm will focus sales efforts initially on the states of Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, as they expand through the U.S. on www.theforkliftworks.com.

Dunn explains why she believes used lift trucks are such a value. She calls it the 50-80 Factor. Companies can purchase a good, used industrial vehicle for about 50% the cost of new, while still getting 80% of the vehicle's working life. The ForkLift Works offers hundreds of used lift trucks, scissor lifts, booms lifts and more on their site. Many vehicles also have videos to demonstrate equipment in action. The videos are also featured on their YouTube channel, along with the company video.

The "Works" in the name refers to the 15,000+ new industrial products on their website. These items cover all types of equipment and supplies from storage racks to conveyors to safety items and dock equipment.

The specialists at this new company have over 60 years of combined experience in the materials handling and heavy equipment industries. The company recently hired Jeremy Lee as National Sales Manager, and they expect to add more personnel in 2014.

Ms. Dunn was a former marketing manager for the largest Caterpillar forklift dealer in the U.S. She also served as an advisory board member for a materials handling magazine and has been a consultant to U.S. material handling firms.
