Gwent Mechanical Handling supplied Bearmach Doosan forklifts with customised extended forks.

An independent, global distributor of Land Rover parts to more than 120 countries has selected Doosan forklifts to streamline its materials handling movements.

Bearmach, also an authorised European dealer for Land Rover and Jaguar, turned to Doosan dealer Gwent Mechanical Handling for forklifts and the result is five new Doosan trucks - three B15t counterbalance trucks, a B20t electric counterbalance and a LEDH 18 powered pedestrian truck.

Goods were constantly being shipped in and out of Bearmach's two operational sites, covering more than 50,000 sqft. (4,645 sqm) in Caerphilly, Wales. The company wanted to streamline its materials handling movements and improve safety.

Bearmach supply chain and operations manager Richard Green says: "We are exceptionally pleased with our new forklifts from Doosan which meet the needs of our business completely. They are powerful, reliable and cost-effective and an added bonus is we now have forklifts with weather-proof cabs, which is always a great help with the weather we usually get in Wales."

The trucks were supplied with customised extended forks, improving the efficiency with which Bearmach can move parts and accessories around, including high-end products like body shells, panels, and even complete Land Rover and Range Rover chassis.
