The board of directors for Kalmar RT Centre has appointed Steve Speakes as the company's president and CEO. Kalmar, a manufacturer and marketer of rough-terrain materials handling equipment for the US Department of Defense and US allies, employs 160 in Cibolo, Texas and has an annual gross revenue of USD100 million.

Ritchie Bros Auctioneers has appointed Beverley Anne Briscoe as deputy chairperson of the company's board of directors. Briscoe joined the company as a director in October 2004, and has served as a member of the Nominating & Corporate Governance and Audit Committees, most recently as chair of the Audit Committee. Her appointment marks a transitional step for the board in preparation for the anticipated retirement of Robert Murdoch, the current chairman. Briscoe is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and of the Institute of Corporate Directors. She currently serves as a director of Goldcorp Inc.
