Davis Derby is a world leader in the design and manufacture of forklift truck access control and fleet management systems, and that's why the TruckLOG TK5 system is the product of choice for a number of leading brands including 3M.

3M was looking for a fork lift truck fleet management system that could meet their high standards of health and safety and it also needed to be centrally controlled serving multiple sites in the UK and Ireland. With health and safety at their core 3M also wanted to be able to reward operators who maintained a high level of driver and pedestrian safety.

With an advanced shock analysis, driver access control and pre-operational checks, the Davis Derby TruckLOG system was initially trialled at locations within the 3M UK network. TruckLOG proved very successful and user friendly and as a result it is now installed on 75% of their UK and Ireland fleet of fork lift trucks.

3M are continuing to benefit from the many key features specified in their requirements and the centralised system enables management to obtain reports on each authorised driver. This has resulted in a marked improvement of driver behaviour as each operator is recognised for safe operations. The company have now started to provide 'Driver of the month' incentives to operators who demonstrate good driver behaviour, and monitor individual drivers to enable them to provide further training to those who may need additional support.
