Lonking exhibited three diesel forklifts at the Construction Machinery Show in Jeddah.

Chinese construction equipment maker Lonking is looking for a forklift distributor in Saudi Arabia, where it says its sales and marketshare are increasing significantly.

Lonking exhibited three 3-5 T diesel forklifts at the Construction Machinery Show in Jeddah on 14-17 April, its second time participating at the show. Besides forklifts, Lonking displayed a wheel loader, excavator, motor grader and a skid loader.

Lonking says over the past two years, it has increased its sales and marketshare in Saudi Arabia through its two distributors, T Sharqawi Trading Branch Est and Gulf Machine Co.

Annie Li from Lonking Strategic International Business Unit tells Forkliftaction.com News the company has about 3% of the forklift market in Saudi Arabia.

"Lonking started selling forklifts to Saudi from 2011, and [has] already sold 136 units," Li says. "As Lonking's current distributors in Saudi are mainly focused on construction machinery, Lonking is still looking for a specialised forklift distributor."

Founded in 1993 in Longyan, Fujian province, Lonking Holdings Ltd claims to be one of China's largest construction and logistics machinery manufacturers. It has 19 wholly owned subsidiaries and four production bases in Fujian, Shanghai, Jiangxi and He'nan. The company produces wheel loaders, hydraulic excavators, road rollers, forklifts, motor graders and skid steer loaders.
