Visitors to Intermodal Europe 2013 can attend a conference forecasting the container trade outlook in Asia on 8 October at the Hamburg Messe in Germany.
Mr Gopal of Frost and Sullivan, who will lead the conference session titled 'Spotlight on Asia: forecasting container trade outlook across the region', says insight will be given into the Asian economy and container trade, (also) looking at how freight movement will progress in the near future.
Gopal, global vice president of the transportation and logistics practice of research and consulting company Frost and Sullivan, adds that the discussion will include the types of opportunities that exist in the Asian markets and how trade is shifting in the Asia Pacific region.
"With the economic situation in Europe improving, businesses can analyse their operations and learn from different countries, forging new relationships and prospects across continental markets," he adds.
Conference attendees are expected to include professionals from, and service providers to, the supply chain and maritime sectors interested in the latest opportunities presented in the Asian market and how to use them.
A similar conference session about the Asian market was led by Gopal at Intermodal Europe 2012 in Amsterdam.
"There was a lot of interest during last year's conference session, with a good level of participation in the question-and-answer session and people drawing comparisons between Europe and Asia," Gopal says.
Organised by Informa Exhibitions, Intermodal Europe is now in its 37th year. Established in 1976 as the Container Technology Conference, Intermodal Europe will be held on 8-10 October at the Hamburg Messe in Germany.
