Inaugural trade show in Italy Local News - 7 Feb 2013 ( #602 ) - Hannover, Germany and Milan, Italy 2 min read Deutsche Messe has finalised a contract with Ipack-Ima SpA to stage INTRALOGISTICA ITALIA in Milan. It will be the German expo organiser's first intralogistics trade show in Italy.The show will be held jointly with packaging trade fair Ipack-Ima from 19-23 May 2015 at a new fairground at Rho in Milan."This strategically important collaboration will enable us to enter a new market and offer our customers a regional trade show in the important Italian intralogistics market," says Dr Andreas Gruchow, a board member of Deutsche Messe AG.Gruchow adds that INTRALOGISTICA ITALIA is the "perfect complement" to Ipack-Ima. The show will present warehouse and factory equipment, packaging and assembly systems, loading equipment, complete logistics systems, traffic engineering, logistics software, transport logistics services and logistics services."We are very proud of this partnership with one of the world's leading trade fair organisers," says Dr Guido Corbella, managing director of Ipack-Ima SpA. "INTRALOGISTICA closes a gap in the Italian trade fair market and will play an important role for the Italian logistics sector, which in turn is strategically important to our country's industrial development."Deutsche Messe spokeswoman Brigitte Mahnken explains that the display categories of INTRALOGISTICA will be the same as the CeMAT materials handling expo, "except that packaging will be displayed at the Ipack-Ima show"."We are expecting over 200 international exhibitors, who will present on almost 10,000 sqms (107, 639 sqft.) of space," Mahnken tells Forkliftaction.com News. Companies interested in participating at the show can start registering for it in the northern spring of 2014, just before CeMAT is staged in Hannover, Germany.Deutsche Messe is one of the world's largest trade fair companies.
