Army extends JLG contract to refurbish equipment News Story - 22 Nov 2012 ( #592 ) - Oshkosh, WI, United States 1 min read A US Army command has extended a contract with JLG Industries Inc to reset equipment deployed in Afghanistan.JLG manufactures aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers and is the core component of Oshkosh Corp's access equipment segment. The corporation is based in Oshkosh.The extension increases the value of the existing contract by USD10.2 million, bringing the total to USD73.8 million.The Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Life Cycle Management Command administers the reset program, which is designed to reverse the effects of combat stress on equipment. It aims to ensure machines are "reset" to optimal condition.JLG is refurbishing its SkyTrak 6000M, Atlas and Atlas II military telehandlers and other materials handling and construction equipment deployed in Afghanistan. The JLG military service team will perform the work at US airfields in Bagram and Kandahar, Afghanistan, through until 9 August 2013."JLG has performed refurbishment work for the Army since August 2004," Denny Buterbaugh, JLG vice president for government products and programs, says. "We are especially proud of this partnership and the opportunity it affords us to support our troops serving in the field."
